Free Range Parenting

Someone recently explained this concept to me - the "free range parent" who allows children to roam at will

Walks the fine line between radical thinking and irresponsibility, perhaps, but food for thought.

Backlash to 'kangaroo' style parenting where you all but smother your child with positivity, affection, and hand-holding. Everyone's a winner!

If you think eveyrone in your circles are on the same page, ask a few probing questions:

- What age should children be able to walk to school on their own
- When should children be able to use a knife in the kitchen? Not a dull butter knife, closer to the 'machete' used by in this tribe.
- At what point/How much do you step in when your kid is in an altercation at the playground
- How far can your kid wander before you become uncomfortable?
- Are you a fan of the 'kid-leash'?
